About me
Growing up as 1 of 5 children to a proud Liverpool England working class family that emmigrated to Australia in 1969. Lucky enough to be a daughter of a father who believed education would provide more opportunities. Started my career as an Occupational Therapist and the a Safety Science Practitioner moving into the insurance sector in the late 80’s. Now CEO of NZ’s largest insurance company, IAG, and a director of an Australian based Credit Union. Proud mother of a 20 year old and wife of Michael – a registered nurse. Family, friends are very important to me.
Why am I doing the LIFEWISE Big Sleepout?
Coming from a working class background and being the first in my extended family to have the educational opportunities I have had I am aware of the importance of helping those less fortunate. As my father reminds me – don’t forget your roots!
