Sportsman, businessman, TV personality and entertainer – Marc Ellis is well known for all these roles.
Already recognised nationally for his sporting talents as an All Black and Warrior, Marc’s many television roles have brought him a high profile and awards such as New Zealand television personality of the year.
As well as his sports and media activity, Marc and childhood friend Stefan Lepionka created Charlie’s Juice company in the late 1990s. The company quickly rose to become an iconic New Zealand brand and was publically listed in 2005. Marc, who studied commerce at Otago University, is a director of Charlie’s as well as being involved in other business interests including IT, Branding/ Marketing and start ups.
Why am I doing the LIFEWISE Big Sleepout?
A couple of years back I spent a number of months working as a volunteer at the Auckland City Mission making cups of tea and coffee and serving dinner. The regulars were all real characters who had happened upon trying circumstances. Any cause such as Lifewise that assists these guys and girls is a great cause for me.
