About me

I’ve managed to do some fairly interesting things in my life so far. I’ve been writing and publicly performing my own music for 9 years, been training in opera under a Korean opera singer for 4, and lived in Germany for schooling during the better half of 2007. I left school a year early and subsequently graduated as the top Diploma student of 2009 from Unitec’s Diploma in Sport and Fitness Education, was elected Student President at Unitec for 2 consecutive terms during 2010/11, am on the Exec board of an Early Learning Centre, was elected onto the board of directors for Student Job Search NZ for 2011, completed a Certificate in Company Direction with the NZ institute of directors and was selected this year as a ministerial appointee for the Auckland Social Policy Forum. However, I turned 21 at the end of last month and have never slept outside for honourable reasons. I think it’s about time I sorted that out.

Why am I doing the LIFEWISE Big Sleepout?

Apart from wanting to steer my moral compass towards its rights in the sphere of outdoor sleeping, I really just want to do my bit to help. I have the time, I have the means and I have the freedom, which is something everyone deserves but not something everyone can say.
