Why am I doing the LIFEWISE Big Sleepout?

Our team of dedicated and passionate TV professionals has seen the homeless population of Auckland grow as we have gone to and from work each day. Each of us has lived and worked abroad and seen how this issue can escalate when it is ignored. We all choose to live and work in this great city but there are people genuinely struggling - unless people care and commit to these causes then nothing will change. It is easy to dismiss what you don’t understand and so we are seeking to raise awareness and understanding, while generating financial support for those who have no shelter as we head into winter. This great city provides us all with so much and so this is a great opportunity to give something back.
